Auction result well in line with expectations

The work A capriccio landscape with a king and other figures amidst classical ruins by Giovanni Ghisolfi was auctioned at Christies in London in April 2011. The price achieved of GBP 16,250.00 (€ 18,300.30) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Admittedly, works by Giovanni Ghisolfi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A capriccio of a Mediterranean port with bandits amongst classical ruins; and A capriccio of a Mediterranean port with a ruined temple and a statue of Hercules, with Orientals and other figures, an encampment beyond in July 2000 with an auction result of GBP 80,750.00 (€ 130,571.69).

Die Arbeit A capriccio landscape with a king and other figures amidst classical ruins von Giovanni Ghisolfi kam im April 2011 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 16.250,00 (€ 18.300,30) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben worden.
