Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2017 Christies in London held the auction Old Master & British Drawings & Watercolours, which included the work A boy in a cap playing a guitar (recto); Study of an outstretched arm (verso) by Giovanni Battista Piazzetta. It changed hands for a price of GBP 37,500.00 (€ 41,844.24) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giovanni Battista Piazzetta achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work David And Goliath in December 2010 with an auction result of GBP 409,250.00 (€ 474,728.77).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2017 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master & British Drawings & Watercolours durch, in der auch die Arbeit A boy in a cap playing a guitar (recto); Study of an outstretched arm (verso) von Giovanni Battista Piazzetta zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 37.500,00 (€ 41.844,24) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 30.000,00 – 40.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Giovanni Battista Piazzetta erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit David And Goliath im Dezember 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 409.250,00 (€ 474.728,77).
