In March 2015 Christies in London held the auction Prints and Multiples, which included the work The Massacre of the Innocents by Giovanni Battista Cavalieri. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 10,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 10,625.00 (€ 14,689.62). Other works by Giovanni Battista Cavalieri have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of USD 20,000.00 (€ 15,188.34) in April 2013 for the work OPERA nelaquale vie molti mostri de tutte le parti del mondo antichi et moderni con le dechiarationi a ciascheduno fine al presento anno 1585. Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März 2015 führte Christies in London die Auktion Prints and Multiples durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Massacre of the Innocents von Giovanni Battista Cavalieri zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 10.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 10.625,00 (€ 14.689,62) einen neuen Besitzer.
