The »bidding war« ended at EUR 2,375.00 32% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giovanni Battista Beinaschi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Incredulity of Saint Thomas in December 2006 with an auction result of GBP 96,000.00 (€ 142,476.02).

Die Arbeit L'Assomption; et Deux anges portant la croix von Giovanni Battista Beinaschi wurde im März 2012 in der Auktion Dessins Anciens et du XIXème Siècle bei Christies in Paris versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 2.375,00 und damit 32% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Giovanni Battista Beinaschi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Incredulity of Saint Thomas im Dezember 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 96.000,00 (€ 142.476,02).
