This artwork by Giovanni Battista Beinaschi achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in London in July this year. In the Old Master Paintings auction, the work The Supper at Emmaus sold for GBP 21,760.00 (€ 25,387.32) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Giovanni Battista Beinaschi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Incredulity of Saint Thomas in December 2006 with an auction result of GBP 96,000.00 (€ 142,476.02).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 81 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Giovanni Battista Beinaschi erzielte im Juli diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Master Paintings wurde die Arbeit The Supper at Emmaus für GBP 21.760,00 (€ 25.387,32) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 12.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Giovanni Battista Beinaschi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Incredulity of Saint Thomas im Dezember 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 96.000,00 (€ 142.476,02).
