Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Bearded Male Nude Seated, His Body In Profile And His Head Turned Over His Left Shoulder by Giovanni Battista Beinaschi was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in January 2016, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 8,750.00 (€ 8,077.92). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giovanni Battista Beinaschi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Incredulity of Saint Thomas in December 2006 with an auction result of GBP 96,000.00 (€ 142,476.02).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Bearded Male Nude Seated, His Body In Profile And His Head Turned Over His Left Shoulder von Giovanni Battista Beinaschi im Januar 2016 bei Sothebys in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 8.750,00 (€ 8.077,92) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Giovanni Battista Beinaschi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Incredulity of Saint Thomas im Dezember 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 96.000,00 (€ 142.476,02).
