Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2017 Sothebys in New York held the auction Old Master Drawings, which included the work The Virgin Interceding With Christ On Behalf Of Two Jesuits Saints by Giovanni Battista Beinaschi. It changed hands for a price of USD 7,500.00 (€ 6,948.30) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giovanni Battista Beinaschi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Incredulity of Saint Thomas in December 2006 with an auction result of GBP 96,000.00 (€ 142,476.02).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar 2017 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Old Master Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Virgin Interceding With Christ On Behalf Of Two Jesuits Saints von Giovanni Battista Beinaschi zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 7.500,00 (€ 6.948,30) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Giovanni Battista Beinaschi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Incredulity of Saint Thomas im Dezember 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 96.000,00 (€ 142.476,02).
