Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Natura morta con il panneggio a sinistra by Giorgio Morandi was sold in the Prints and Multiples auction at Bonhams in London in June last year. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 35,580.00 (€ 41,333.84), 19% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giorgio Morandi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Natura morta in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 4,332,500.00 (€ 3,712,510.71).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Natura morta con il panneggio a sinistra von Giorgio Morandi wurde im Juni letzten Jahres in der Auktion Prints and Multiples bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 35.580,00 (€ 41.333,84) und damit 19% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Giorgio Morandi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Natura morta im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 4.332.500,00 (€ 3.712.510,71).
