However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gioacchino La Pira - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Bay of Naples; and Vesuvius erupting, which sold at auction in April 2001 for GBP 8,225.00 (€ 13,259.73).
