Auction result well in line with expectations
In February 2015 Artcurial in Paris held the auction Old Master & 19th Century Paintings and Drawings, Sculptures, Miniatures, which included the work La Grotte De Pozzuoli by Gioacchino La Pira. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 1,500.00 – 2,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 1,517.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Gioacchino La Pira have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Bay of Naples; and Vesuvius erupting in April 2001 with an auction result of GBP 8,225.00 (€ 13,259.73).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Februar 2015 führte Artcurial in Paris die Auktion Old Master & 19th Century Paintings and Drawings, Sculptures, Miniatures durch, in der auch die Arbeit La Grotte De Pozzuoli von Gioacchino La Pira zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 1.517,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gioacchino La Pira auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Bay of Naples; and Vesuvius erupting im April 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 8.225,00 (€ 13.259,73).
