In September 2013 Christies in London held the auction 19th Century European Art Including Orientalist Art, which included the work Drawing In The Nets Before Procida by Gioacchino La Pira. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 2,250.00 (€ 2,689.53), 50% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Gioacchino La Pira have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Bay of Naples; and Vesuvius erupting in April 2001 with an auction result of GBP 8,225.00 (€ 13,259.73).

Im September 2013 führte Christies in London die Auktion 19th Century European Art Including Orientalist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Drawing In The Nets Before Procida von Gioacchino La Pira zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 2.250,00 (€ 2.689,53) und damit 50% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gioacchino La Pira auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Bay of Naples; and Vesuvius erupting im April 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 8.225,00 (€ 13.259,73).
