Auction result misses estimated price range
In July 2020 a collector was able to acquire the work Jehoram saved from Athaliah's wrath by Gioacchino Assereto for GBP 35,000.00 (€ 39,039.83). This price was achieved in the auction Old Masters Paintings & Sculpture at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gioacchino Assereto achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Salome presenting the head of John the Baptist to Herod in July 2003 with an auction result of GBP 733,250.00 (€ 958,407.19).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juli 2020 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Jehoram saved from Athaliah's wrath von Gioacchino Assereto für GBP 35.000,00 (€ 39.039,83) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Old Masters Paintings & Sculpture bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gioacchino Assereto erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Salome presenting the head of John the Baptist to Herod im Juli 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 733.250,00 (€ 958.407,19).
