This artwork by Gioacchino Assereto achieved an unexpectedly high price at Il Ponte in April 2018. In the Arredi e Dipinti Antichi, Argenti, Tappeti e Historica auction, the work San Pietro e il gallo sold for EUR 32,000.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 18,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gioacchino Assereto achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Salome presenting the head of John the Baptist to Herod in July 2003 with an auction result of GBP 733,250.00 (€ 958,407.19).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Gioacchino Assereto erzielte im April 2018 bei Il Ponte einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Arredi e Dipinti Antichi, Argenti, Tappeti e Historica wurde die Arbeit San Pietro e il gallo für EUR 32.000,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 18.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gioacchino Assereto erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Salome presenting the head of John the Baptist to Herod im Juli 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 733.250,00 (€ 958.407,19).
