Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Ecce Homo by Gioacchino Assereto was auctioned at Sothebys in London in December 2015. The price achieved of GBP 118,750.00 (€ 161,256.79) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Admittedly, works by Gioacchino Assereto have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Salome presenting the head of John the Baptist to Herod in July 2003 with an auction result of GBP 733,250.00 (€ 958,407.19).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Ecce Homo von Gioacchino Assereto kam im Dezember 2015 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 118.750,00 (€ 161.256,79) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 100.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gioacchino Assereto auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Salome presenting the head of John the Baptist to Herod im Juli 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 733.250,00 (€ 958.407,19).
