Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Figures In Oriental Costume Standing In Classical Ruins, The Castel Sant'Angelo And The Dome of Saint Peter'S Beyond by Gioacchino Assereto was sold in the Important Old Master Paintings Part I And Part II auction at Christies in New York in April 2008. The price achieved of USD 17,500.00 (€ 11,241.01) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gioacchino Assereto achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Salome presenting the head of John the Baptist to Herod in July 2003 with an auction result of GBP 733,250.00 (€ 958,407.19).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Figures In Oriental Costume Standing In Classical Ruins, The Castel Sant'Angelo And The Dome of Saint Peter'S Beyond von Gioacchino Assereto wurde im April 2008 in der Auktion Important Old Master Paintings Part I And Part II bei Christies in New York versteigert.
