Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Wooded Landscape With A Shepherd Tending His Flock On A Riverbank by Gysbrecht Leytens was auctioned at Sothebys in London in May 2017. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 4,375.00 (€ 5,024.86) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gysbrecht Leytens achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Winter Landscape With Hunters On A Forest Track And Children Playing On A Frozen River, Villages Beyond in November 2006 with an auction result of EUR 381,600.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A Wooded Landscape With A Shepherd Tending His Flock On A Riverbank von Gysbrecht Leytens kam im Mai 2017 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 4.375,00 (€ 5.024,86) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gysbrecht Leytens erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Winter Landscape With Hunters On A Forest Track And Children Playing On A Frozen River, Villages Beyond im November 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 381.600,00.
