This price was achieved in the auction Old Master & British Paintings Day Sale at Sothebys in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 60,000.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Gysbrecht Leytens; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot A Winter Landscape With Hunters On A Forest Track And Children Playing On A Frozen River, Villages Beyond sold at auction in November 2006 with the realized price of EUR 381,600.00.
