Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2021 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Masters Day Sale, which included the work A winter landscape with figures, two peasants gathering wood and two riding a sledge by Gysbrecht Leytens. The price achieved of GBP 37,800.00 (€ 44,328.34) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Admittedly, works by Gysbrecht Leytens have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Winter Landscape With Hunters On A Forest Track And Children Playing On A Frozen River, Villages Beyond in November 2006 with an auction result of EUR 381,600.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2021 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Masters Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit A winter landscape with figures, two peasants gathering wood and two riding a sledge von Gysbrecht Leytens zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 37.800,00 (€ 44.328,34) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gysbrecht Leytens auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Winter Landscape With Hunters On A Forest Track And Children Playing On A Frozen River, Villages Beyond im November 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 381.600,00.
