Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Giacomo Cavedone could be acquired at Christies in New York in January 2003 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Old Master & 19th Century Drawings including Works on Paper auction, the work The Conversion of Constantine changed hands for USD 5,019.00 (€ 4,673.62) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giacomo Cavedone achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Head of a bearded man in a cap, in profile to the right, with a study of another head in the lower left corner in January 2004 with an auction result of USD 65,725.00 (€ 52,782.69).
Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Head of a bearded man in a cap, in profile to the right, with a study of another head in the lower left corner im Januar 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 65.725,00 (€ 52.782,69).
