Auction result well in line with expectations
In 2009 Phillips in New York held the auction New York New York, which included the work Custom Painted New York Subway Sign by Ghost. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 600.00 – 800.00, the actual price achieved of USD 625.00 (€ 546.23) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ghost achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Everyone Has There Own Arrow - 2016 in April 2018 with an auction result of EUR 10,400.00.

Im 2009 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion New York New York durch, in der auch die Arbeit Custom Painted New York Subway Sign von Ghost zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 600,00 – 800,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 625,00 (€ 546,23) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ghost erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Everyone Has There Own Arrow - 2016 im April 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 10.400,00.
