Auction result misses estimated price range
In April 2017 a collector was able to acquire the work Auguste Rodin by Gertrude Käsebier for USD 9,375.00 (€ 8,604.86). This price was achieved in the auction Photographs at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 15,000.00 – 25,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Gertrude Käsebier have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Rodin, c. 1905 in February 2016 with an auction result of USD 40,000.00 (€ 36,805.30).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im April 2017 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Auguste Rodin von Gertrude Käsebier für USD 9.375,00 (€ 8.604,86) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Photographs bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 25.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gertrude Käsebier auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Rodin, c. 1905 im Februar 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 40.000,00 (€ 36.805,30).
