Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Blessed Art Thou Among Women by Gertrude Käsebier was sold in the Photographs from the Ginny Williams Collection auction at Sothebys in New York in December 2020. Here, the upper estimate of USD 2,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 2,772.00 (€ 2,266.56). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gertrude Käsebier achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Rodin, c. 1905 in February 2016 with an auction result of USD 40,000.00 (€ 36,805.30).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Blessed Art Thou Among Women von Gertrude Käsebier wurde im Dezember 2020 in der Auktion Photographs from the Ginny Williams Collection bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 2.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 2.772,00 (€ 2.266,56) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gertrude Käsebier erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Rodin, c. 1905 im Februar 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 40.000,00 (€ 36.805,30).
