Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Gerrit Willem Dijsselhof could be acquired at Christies in Amsterdam in September 2006 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings auction, the work Under water changed hands for EUR 240.00 - missing the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gerrit Willem Dijsselhof achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Flamengo'S in May 2006 with an auction result of EUR 15,600.00.

Dieses Kunstwerk von Gerrit Willem Dijsselhof konnte im September 2006 bei Christies in Amsterdam für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings wechselte die Arbeit Under water für EUR 240,00 den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gerrit Willem Dijsselhof erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Flamengo'S im Mai 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 15.600,00.
