This artwork by Gerrit Willem Dijsselhof achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Amsterdam in September 2004. In the Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings auction, the work Haring: A Herring Amongst Seaweeds sold for EUR 1,673.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 900.00. Admittedly, works by Gerrit Willem Dijsselhof have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Flamengo'S in May 2006 with an auction result of EUR 15,600.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 86 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Gerrit Willem Dijsselhof erzielte im September 2004 bei Christies in Amsterdam einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings wurde die Arbeit Haring: A Herring Amongst Seaweeds für EUR 1.673,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 900,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gerrit Willem Dijsselhof auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Flamengo'S im Mai 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 15.600,00.
