Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Schelp: Shell by Gerrit Willem Dijsselhof was sold in the Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings auction at Christies in Amsterdam in July 2000. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of NLG 800.00 – 1,200.00, the actual price achieved of NLG 819.14 (€ 360.06) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gerrit Willem Dijsselhof achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Flamengo'S in May 2006 with an auction result of EUR 15,600.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Schelp: Shell von Gerrit Willem Dijsselhof wurde im Juli 2000 in der Auktion Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von NLG 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von NLG 819,14 (€ 360,06) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gerrit Willem Dijsselhof erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Flamengo'S im Mai 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 15.600,00.
