It achieved a price of NLG 4,095.70 (€ 1,800.32), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 37%. Admittedly, works by Gerrit Willem Dijsselhof have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Flamengo'S in May 2006 with an auction result of EUR 15,600.00.

Die Arbeit Figures in a construction area von Gerrit Willem Dijsselhof wurde im Juli 2000 in der Auktion Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von NLG 4.095,70 (€ 1.800,32) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 37%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gerrit Willem Dijsselhof auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Flamengo'S im Mai 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 15.600,00.
