Despite a disappointment, a good price for Gerda Scheepers
This work of art by Gerda Scheepers could be acquired at Bukowski in Stockholm in October last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Art & Design auction, the work "Room for paintings" changed hands for SEK 40,000.00 (€ 3,660.16) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of SEK 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Despite this disappointing result, "Room for paintings" is the most expensive artwork by Gerda Scheepers that we have observed at auction so far.

Dieses Kunstwerk von Gerda Scheepers konnte im Oktober letzten Jahres bei Bukowski in Stockholm für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Art & Design wechselte die Arbeit "Room for paintings" für SEK 40.000,00 (€ 3.660,16) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von SEK 60.000,00 – 80.000,00. Trotz dieses enttäuschenden Ergebnisses ist "Room for paintings" das teuerste Kunstwerk von Gerda Scheepers, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
