Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Gerard Curtis Delano could be acquired at Bonhams in Los Angeles in November last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Western Art auction, the work Sioux Scouts sight 13 1/2 x 17 1/2 in. framed 23 1/2 x 27 in. changed hands for USD 14,025.00 (€ 13,586.17) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gerard Curtis Delano achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work In Bonnet And Paint, Early-Day Sioux Scouts in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 471,000.00 (€ 403,598.97).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Gerard Curtis Delano konnte im November letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Western Art wechselte die Arbeit Sioux Scouts sight 13 1/2 x 17 1/2 in. framed 23 1/2 x 27 in. für USD 14.025,00 (€ 13.586,17) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 25.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gerard Curtis Delano erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit In Bonnet And Paint, Early-Day Sioux Scouts im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 471.000,00 (€ 403.598,97).
