Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work In the Campfire's Gleam 23 3/4 x 27 3/4 in. framed 31 1/2 x 36 in. by Gerard Curtis Delano was sold in the Western Art auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in November last year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 50,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 57,075.00 (€ 55,289.16). Admittedly, works by Gerard Curtis Delano have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work In Bonnet And Paint, Early-Day Sioux Scouts in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 471,000.00 (€ 403,598.97).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit In the Campfire's Gleam 23 3/4 x 27 3/4 in. framed 31 1/2 x 36 in. von Gerard Curtis Delano wurde im November letzten Jahres in der Auktion Western Art bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 50.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 57.075,00 (€ 55.289,16) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gerard Curtis Delano auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit In Bonnet And Paint, Early-Day Sioux Scouts im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 471.000,00 (€ 403.598,97).
