In December 2010 Sothebys in Amsterdam held the auction 19th Century Paintings & Contemporary Art, which included the work Dutch a View Of A Small Harbour, Possibly Katwijk by Gerhard Arij Ludwig Morgenstjerne Munthe. The auction ended at the price of EUR 6,000.00, which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gerhard Arij Ludwig Morgenstjerne Munthe achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Norwegian idyll in November 2010 with an auction result of GBP 361,250.00 (€ 431,693.20).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im Dezember 2010 führte Sothebys in Amsterdam die Auktion 19th Century Paintings & Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Dutch a View Of A Small Harbour, Possibly Katwijk von Gerhard Arij Ludwig Morgenstjerne Munthe zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von EUR 6.000,00 entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gerhard Arij Ludwig Morgenstjerne Munthe erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Norwegian idyll im November 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 361.250,00 (€ 431.693,20).
