Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2016 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Old Masters & 19th Century Art - including Dutch Impressionism, which included the work Awaiting the catch by Gerhard Arij Ludwig Morgenstjerne Munthe. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 3,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 4,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gerhard Arij Ludwig Morgenstjerne Munthe achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Norwegian idyll in November 2010 with an auction result of GBP 361,250.00 (€ 431,693.20).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November 2016 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Old Masters & 19th Century Art - including Dutch Impressionism durch, in der auch die Arbeit Awaiting the catch von Gerhard Arij Ludwig Morgenstjerne Munthe zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 3.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 4.000,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gerhard Arij Ludwig Morgenstjerne Munthe erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Norwegian idyll im November 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 361.250,00 (€ 431.693,20).
