Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A bomschuit setting out to sea by Gerhard Arij Ludwig Morgenstjerne Munthe was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in November 2016. The price achieved of EUR 6,250.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gerhard Arij Ludwig Morgenstjerne Munthe achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Norwegian idyll in November 2010 with an auction result of GBP 361,250.00 (€ 431,693.20).

Die Arbeit A bomschuit setting out to sea von Gerhard Arij Ludwig Morgenstjerne Munthe kam im November 2016 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 6.250,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gerhard Arij Ludwig Morgenstjerne Munthe erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Norwegian idyll im November 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 361.250,00 (€ 431.693,20).
