Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Dutch Parrots In Green Vase by Ger van Elk was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Art auction at Sothebys in Amsterdam in July 2009. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 7,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 7,750.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ger van Elk - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in November 2011 for EUR 20,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Dutch Parrots In Green Vase von Ger van Elk wurde im Juli 2009 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Art bei Sothebys in Amsterdam versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 7.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 7.750,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Ger van Elk mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im November 2011 für EUR 20.000,00 versteigert wurde.
