It achieved a price of USD 2,460,000.00 (€ 2,383,028.19), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 64%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Georgia O'Keeffe achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Jimson Weed/White Flower No. 1 in November 2014 with an auction result of USD 44,405,000.00 (€ 35,701,077.34).

Die Arbeit Sand Hill, Alcalde von Georgia O'Keeffe kam im November letzten Jahres bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 2.460.000,00 (€ 2.383.028,19) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 64%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Georgia O'Keeffe erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Jimson Weed/White Flower No. 1 im November 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 44.405.000,00 (€ 35.701.077,34).
