Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Distré by Georges Mathieu was auctioned at Christies in London in June this year. The price achieved of EUR 81,900.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 70,000.00 – 100,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Georges Mathieu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tuz Gölü in October 2021 with an auction result of HKD 18,325,000.00 (€ 2,038,402.44).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Distré von Georges Mathieu kam im Juni diesen Jahres bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 81.900,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 70.000,00 – 100.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Georges Mathieu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Tuz Gölü im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 18.325.000,00 (€ 2.038.402,44).
