Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2017 Christies in New York held the auction Impressionist and Modern Art Day Sale, which included the work Nu à la draperie by Georges Lemmen. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 3,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 3,750.00 (€ 3,337.49) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Georges Lemmen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La modiste in June 2004 with an auction result of GBP 173,250.00 (€ 257,847.89).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2017 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Nu à la draperie von Georges Lemmen zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 3.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 3.750,00 (€ 3.337,49) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Georges Lemmen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La modiste im Juni 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 173.250,00 (€ 257.847,89).
