A top price for Georges Lacombe - as previously expected
The work L'Aurore by Georges Lacombe was sold in the Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale auction at Sothebys in New York in November 2016. The result of USD 300,000.00 (€ 283,607.49) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 300,000.00 – 500,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, L'Aurore is the most expensive artwork by Georges Lacombe that we have observed at auctions so far.
