In December 2012 Christies in London held the auction Sporting & Wildlife Art, which included the work At the farriers; and A fine trot by George Wright. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 4,000.00 (€ 4,933.11), 33% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by George Wright - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Casting About; And Gone To Earth, which sold at auction in June 2006 for GBP 12,000.00 (€ 17,363.80).

Im Dezember 2012 führte Christies in London die Auktion Sporting & Wildlife Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit At the farriers; and A fine trot von George Wright zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 4.000,00 (€ 4.933,11) und damit 33% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von George Wright mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Casting About; And Gone To Earth beobachtet, die im Juni 2006 für GBP 12.000,00 (€ 17.363,80) versteigert wurde.
