A top price for George Wright - as previously expected
The work Casting About; And Gone To Earth by George Wright was sold in the Sporting Art, Wildlife and Dogs auction at Christies in London in June 2006. The price achieved of GBP 12,000.00 (€ 17,363.80) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Casting About; And Gone To Earth is the most expensive artwork by George Wright that we have observed at auctions so far.
