Auction result well in line with expectations
The work On the scent by George Wright was sold in the Animalia auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in October last year. The price achieved of USD 2,805.00 (€ 2,823.64) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. Admittedly, works by George Wright have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Casting About; And Gone To Earth in June 2006 with an auction result of GBP 12,000.00 (€ 17,363.80).
