Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Moving off by George Wright was auctioned at Christies in London in December 2016. The price achieved of GBP 5,625.00 (€ 6,576.54) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by George Wright - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Casting About; And Gone To Earth, which sold at auction in June 2006 for GBP 12,000.00 (€ 17,363.80).

Die Arbeit Moving off von George Wright kam im Dezember 2016 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.625,00 (€ 6.576,54) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von George Wright mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Casting About; And Gone To Earth beobachtet, die im Juni 2006 für GBP 12.000,00 (€ 17.363,80) versteigert wurde.
