Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Moving off by George Wright was auctioned at Christies in London in December 2016. The price achieved of GBP 5,625.00 (€ 6,576.54) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by George Wright - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Casting About; And Gone To Earth, which sold at auction in June 2006 for GBP 12,000.00 (€ 17,363.80).
