Here, the upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 3,250.00 (€ 4,413.34). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by George Wright - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Casting About; And Gone To Earth, which sold at auction in June 2006 for GBP 12,000.00 (€ 17,363.80).

Die Arbeit The Water Jump von George Wright wurde im Dezember 2015 in der Auktion Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art; Maritime Art; Sporting & Wildlife Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 3.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 3.250,00 (€ 4.413,34) einen neuen Besitzer.
