The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 800,000.00 – 1,200,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 810,000.00 (€ 717,639.76) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by George Wesley Bellows have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Evening Swell in December 2013 with an auction result of USD 7,893,000.00 (€ 5,728,282.17).
