Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Ham, cheese, eggs, lemons and a cat with a captured mouse by George Smith of Chichester was auctioned at Christies in London in September 2005. It changed hands for a price of GBP 1,920.00 (€ 2,817.74) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 1,600.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George Smith of Chichester achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A winter landscape with a haystack, cottages and figures, a river beyond; and A winter landscape with two figures crossing a wooden bridge, a village and a church beyond in December 2011 with an auction result of GBP 25,000.00 (€ 29,941.03).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Ham, cheese, eggs, lemons and a cat with a captured mouse von George Smith of Chichester kam im September 2005 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A winter landscape with a haystack, cottages and figures, a river beyond; and A winter landscape with two figures crossing a wooden bridge, a village and a church beyond im Dezember 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 25.000,00 (€ 29.941,03).
