The work Untitled 17 (Ash Wednesday 7.00 am) by George Shaw was sold in the Modern | British Art auction at Christies in London in November 2019. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 4,375.00 (€ 5,137.32), 46% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George Shaw achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Undergrowth in June 2013 with an auction result of GBP 79,875.00 (€ 93,228.43).

Die Arbeit Untitled 17 (Ash Wednesday 7.00 am) von George Shaw wurde im November 2019 in der Auktion Modern | British Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 4.375,00 (€ 5.137,32) und damit 46% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von George Shaw erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Undergrowth im Juni 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 79.875,00 (€ 93.228,43).
