Auction result well in line with expectations
In October last year Bonhams in Edinburgh held the auction Scottish Art, which included the work The Blue Teacup, circa 1928-9 by George Leslie Hunter. The price achieved of GBP 94,800.00 (€ 110,440.95) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Admittedly, works by George Leslie Hunter have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Still Life With Tulips And Oranges in April 2009 with an auction result of GBP 433,250.00 (€ 484,118.60).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in Edinburgh die Auktion Scottish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Blue Teacup, circa 1928-9 von George Leslie Hunter zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 94.800,00 (€ 110.440,95) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von George Leslie Hunter auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Still Life With Tulips And Oranges im April 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 433.250,00 (€ 484.118,60).
