Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Still Life with Rose and Chinese Vase Painted circa 1925 by George Leslie Hunter was sold in the Scottish Art auction at Bonhams in Paris in October this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 50,000.00 – 70,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 53,740.00 (€ 61,708.45) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by George Leslie Hunter have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Still Life With Tulips And Oranges in April 2009 with an auction result of GBP 433,250.00 (€ 484,118.60).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Still Life with Rose and Chinese Vase Painted circa 1925 von George Leslie Hunter wurde im Oktober diesen Jahres in der Auktion Scottish Art bei Bonhams in Paris versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 53.740,00 (€ 61.708,45) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von George Leslie Hunter auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Still Life With Tulips And Oranges im April 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 433.250,00 (€ 484.118,60).
