In April 2009 Sothebys in London held the auction Scottish Pictures, which included the work Still Life With Tulips And Oranges by George Leslie Hunter. The price achieved of GBP 433,250.00 (€ 484,118.60) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 300,000.00 – 500,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Still Life With Tulips And Oranges is the most expensive artwork by George Leslie Hunter that we have observed at auctions so far.
