Auction result well in line with expectations
In October this year Bonhams in Paris held the auction Scottish Art, which included the work Lower Largo Harbour Painted circa 1922-1923 by George Leslie Hunter. The price achieved of GBP 14,080.00 (€ 16,167.75) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George Leslie Hunter achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Still Life With Tulips And Oranges in April 2009 with an auction result of GBP 433,250.00 (€ 484,118.60).
