The work Still life with roses and Japanese print by George Leslie Hunter was sold in the Scottish Art auction at Bonhams in Edinburgh in October last year. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 94,800.00 (€ 110,440.95), 19% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by George Leslie Hunter have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Still Life With Tulips And Oranges in April 2009 with an auction result of GBP 433,250.00 (€ 484,118.60).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Still life with roses and Japanese print von George Leslie Hunter wurde im Oktober letzten Jahres in der Auktion Scottish Art bei Bonhams in Edinburgh versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 94.800,00 (€ 110.440,95) und damit 19% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von George Leslie Hunter auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Still Life With Tulips And Oranges im April 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 433.250,00 (€ 484.118,60).
